Los días 24 y 25 de mayo de 2012, tuvieron lugar en la ciudad de
Soria las "I Jornadas de
Territorios CO2cero". Técnicos del PATRES estuvieron presentes en

piloto que allí se esta desarrollando.
The days 24 and 25 of may, took part the sessions about regions
zero CO2 in the city of Soria. Patres technics were presented to
monitor the evolution of the activities related with the Pilot
Action that Soria is developing and to disseminate the activities
of PATRES in the rest of the regions.

June 20, 2012 – The GreeNordEst Week gets to Trieste.
AREA Science Park organizes this year on June 20 the only event
held in Friuli Venezia Giulia within the 4th edition of
the GreeNordEst Week 2012.
The week, organized in the framework of the European Union Sustainable Energy
Week,involves Veneto, Trentino Alto Adige e Friuli Venezia
Giulia and aims to foster synergies and networking among
institutions in the North-East to support environmentally
sustainable development.

European Commission launches Industrial Initiative "Smart Cities and Communities"
The Smart Cities and Communities initiative has
officially been launched at a conference held on 21 June 2011 in
Brussels. Financed by the 7th EU Research Framework
Programme, it will call for proposals addressing the
deployment of integrated sustainable energy technologies in urban
areas.

Brussels: proposal for a new Directive fostering energy efficiency
The Commission's
latest estimations suggest that the EU will only achieve half of
the Europe 2020 targets in 2020. The European Council and the
European Parliament have therefore urged the Commission to adopt a
new ambitious strategy on energy efficiency for determined action
to tap the considerable potential.
The proposed
Directive transforms certain aspects of the EEP (put forward on
March 8, 2011) into binding measures to make a significant
contribution to meeting the EU's 2020 energy efficiency target, and
it looks beyond, seeking to set a common framework to promote
energy efficiency in the Union beyond 2020.
