CIRCE presents a vertical axis wind turbine in its bulding

CIRCE one of the partners of the PATRES project, presents in its building a vertical axis wind turbine to shown the possibilities of the wind energy in the urban areas.

The vertical axis wind turbine is nine meters high, standing in the wind direction and quiet operation. It was developed and patented by Geolica Innovations, marketed by Kliux Energies and installed by the Center for Research Resources and Energy Consumption (Circe), University of Zaragoza. The installation has been performed in the framework of the AVER (Vertical axis wind turbine micro), which has been funded by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness. The project is coordinated by Geolica Innovations (R & D laboratory of Kliux) and aims to "optimize the operation of a mini vertical axis wind turbine and demonstrate the ability of this technology for use in micro-power generation."
