‘Renewable energies, urban planning and building regulations: the role of local authorities in Europe’

  AREA Science Park presents the conference 'Renewable energies, urban planning and building regulations: the role of local authorities in Europe' organized in the framework of the PATRES European project and to be held in Trieste on 20th and 21st October 2011.

The first day (October 20th) has an agenda filled with   food for thought for those who, in and outside the Public Administration, deal with energy and environment-related issues, with a particular focus on renewables and the implementation of RES systems in the urban environment.

The programme of the day envisages the presentation of Italian and European best practices in the local handling of energy and environmental topics and examples of cutting edge implementations, coupling sustainability, economic and social requirements with RES systems.  

 

The conference also foresees the presentation of the most recent technological trends in the field of renewables and the meeting of participants with a selected group of innovative companies (Networking plaza) dealing with renewables, which will present their solutions for the matters related to the implementation of RES systems in a public and private context.

The second day (October 21st) will instead be reserved to the participants in the training phase of the PATRES Project in the 7 countries, i.e. office heads and technical officers from local authorities and social housing bodies, who will be involved in an international brokerage event to collect direct feedback from different national and local contexts, highlight strengths and weaknesses, share solutions, analyse matters, suggest success cases in a view to cooperate internationally and foster networking.
