Badener Sonnenkraft - The municipality of Baden, Austria, had successfully implemented their contracting model with public participation

Together for renewable energy!Installation of photovoltaic units in the municipality Baden financed by public participation.

With a total of 300 Baden's solar modules, photovoltaic plants are built on three buildings of the city with a total capacity of 60 kilowatts and therefore 19.000 kg of CO2 will be saved. The facilities are planned, built and operated by the Immobilien Baden GmbH. A solar photovoltaic module corresponds to a block of 1.5 m². Within 8 days all modules were sold, with a value of EUR 500 each. After allocation of the modules, the amount is paid on the savings account of Baden. The supporters of the photovoltaic plants will receive annually guaranteed 3,5 % interest rates over 10 years. The deposited capital will exclusively be used for the construction of three photovoltaic systems.

The project "Badener Sonnenkraft" is advantageous due to a simple financial concept, safe and guaranteed interest rates and the assurance to act together on climate change in Baden.
